GETTING TO PORTLAND

Portland International Airport is currently serviced by more than 15 International and Domestic airlines offering about 500 scheduled passenger arrivals and departures daily. More than 60 US cities offer nonstop flights to Portland, including Atlanta, Orlando, New York, Boston and Chicago.

Internationally, you can fly direct to Portland International Airport from Amsterdam, Calgary, Frankfurt, Guadalajara, London, Puerto Vallarta, Toronto and Vancouver, British Columbia.

  • Portland International Airport is located 9 miles (14.5km) northeast of downtown.

    You can use the MAX light rail system, taxi or ride-share services to get to/from the airport to downtown.

  • The MAX (Metropolitan Area Express) Light Rail is at the heart of public transportation in Portland.

    With over 100 stations and 60 miles (96.6km) of track, you can find a stop near you with just an address or zip code on TriMet’s website.

    Trips between the airport and downtown take about 45 minutes and as of 2023, an adult ticket costs $2.50 US.

  • Taxicabs are available throughout Portland and are metered.

    The approximate cost for a taxicab from the airport to downtown is $50 US (NOT including gratuity) and takes anywhere from 20 - 40 minutes.

  • Uber and Lyft both operate in Portland and pricing is based on a number of factors including distance, time, base rate and vehicle option.
